Why are my stocks going up?

On the article that i read about stocks going up there was useful information about the stock market that intrested me ver much. i lerned that home depot one of the company's which i invested in in was ging up and was giving me money. While oil companies and energy companies were going down in the market in which i have also invested (DVN). The article states that this is good because "as investors bet falling crude oil prices will boost consumer spending and lift corporate profits while easing inflation".
This news inpacts me as good for all my other 10 investments which are all going up but bad new for the energy company that i invested in. Now the question i'm asking is . . . .
should i sell?
